This stand-up jig is made for use w/our Wonder Worms for that unique, productive stand-up presentation that bass can’t seem to resist. They feature one of the most weedless and stable head designs on the market for bottom presentations thru sub-surface timber , weeds and moderate rocky compositions. The patented “HitchHiker®” trailer holders are molded into the head of the powder painted jig head. . The 4 coil, tight corkscrew design is superlative for holding soft-plastics in place while contacting submerged timber, rocks and weeds. The Mustad needle-point hooks come thru the worm easily on the set and hook /hold big bass well. Casting tackle and/or medium heavy spinning tackle is recommended for most fishing situations.

The Wonder Worm

5” -10@ $4.50 6 1/2”-10 @$ 5.00

5” -20@ $7.00 6 1/2” -20@$ 8.00

These high floating, 3- scent impregnated worms are specially designed w/a flat side and pointed tail that wiggles and waves @ the slightest movement of the rod. The Wonder Worms unique, custom design compliments the Enticer Jig perfectly.

Most worms used for the stand-up presentation are somewhat difficult to rig with the end result being a split worm and/or poor worm holding qualities. The specially designed Wonder Worms have a tapered, short hollow area @ the head of the worm to facilitate rigging, without splitting the worm open.

Simply screw-on clockwise and remove by un-screwing counterclockwise while you determine the “color/size – of – day” without destroying the worm for re-use again. Once the Wonder worm is secured on the HitchHiker® , push the worm forward ½”@ the hook entrance area and then rig Texas (weedless style) keeping the worm in a straight line w/the line tie eye. Make sure the hook point is completely inside the worm when fishing these baits thru timber and weeds. Available in 2 productive sizes (5” and 6 ½”) and 4 colors (#02 Black --#07 Watermelon --#15 June Bug--#23 Motor Oil)

If the HitchHiker® fails to hold after several fish, trim 1/16” off the head of the worm w/ a razor blade or scissors, and re-thread it clockwise back onto the HitchHiker® holder. It is not recommended to add any additional scent to these 3-scent, impregnated worms.

These Enticer Jigs and Wonder Worms were extensively field tested, tweaked and perfected throughout the summer and fall of 2007 by some well-experienced board members and myself in various public lakes in Pennsylvania with outstanding results, producing many bass and quite a few over 4 land 5 lbs. The bass continued to attack the Wonder Worm rigged on the Enticer Weedless Jig head combo as water temperatures declined into the lower 50 degree range during late fall. They are very productive during post-frontal periods. It is recommended to switch between the 5” and 6 ½” length worms until you determined their preference for the day.

Fishing the Enticer Jig & Wonder Worm

The standard pull and drop technique commonly associated w/worm and jig fishing works well. The “nudge & subtle shake” –then “let stand in place” is very effective when working up rocky ledges. The ¼ oz. jig and 6 ½” worm combo are heavy enough to be pitched into standing timber w/casting tackle. Ledges, w/moderate rocky composition are also a great place to work this combo. Many times , a “shake- in-place” deal gets the bite on those post frontal days, as the high floating tail & body of the worm challenges the lethargic bass to attack w/a simple gill flair. Don’t forget to flip and shake the 3/8oz. jig w/a 5” or 6 1/2” worm combo into open potholes in various types of weed beds. It is recommended to utilize the “Buggy-Whip Technique” immediately when constant pressure indicates a snag.

The 1/8 oz. Enticer weedless jig heads also work well w/our 4” finesse worm and un-rigged creature soft-baits.
